ALERT: To All Students, Parents, and Faculty& Staff

WHERE DID IT GO?
If you are looking for an item that was previously on the side bar menu, these have been moved to their respective "User Group" (Student, Parents, Faculty & Staff, etc).  Please check under your User Group to find these items.

The Tech. Dept is working on a website reconfiguration to make it more user friendly. Our goal is to make it "one stop shopping" where, based on your User Group, you will find all the items that would pertain to that group. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work towards this goal.

Late Start Days
All offices will be closed during late start days from 7:30 am to 9:00 am to allow for staff training. Late Start dates for 2012 are: 01/10, 01/24, 02/14, 02/28, 03/13, 03/27, 04/10, 04/24, 05/08, 05/22
School Announcements
Welcome to Credence High School
Welcome to the Credence High School website! My name is Tom Ready, Principal of Credence. The Lassen Union High School District offers a system of educational programs designed to meet the differing needs of all students in the Susanville area.

The educational program at Credence offers an alternative to the comprehensive educational and extra-curricular program at Lassen High School. In smaller classroom settings our faculty of subject-matter specialists offer traditional direct instruction, online courses, and “blended” courses mixing direct teaching along with online lessons.

Our goal is to offer students an alternative to the traditional high school environment, allowing students to get caught up on classes in order to obtain a diploma after four years of high school. Similarly, student may also accelerate at Credence in order to graduate with a diploma in less than four years.
Our curriculum is standards-based, and our assessment system is aligned with all the district’s other programs. We are embarking on reviewing our curriculum and aligning the district courses and assessments with the federal Common Core Standards. Additionally, we test 9th and 10th graders three times each year to measure academic growth in English and Math with the Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) tests. This testing system allows us to measure the academic growth of each student and assess their growth with a national norm for students at each grade level.

We look forward to working with all our students’ parents as a team to support these young adults in a productive, educational experience. We invite you to meet with the teachers, administrators, counselors and to visit classrooms. Additionally, we invite parent participation in site and District planning through the School Site Council that helps set school goals and monitors school achievement.

Please call 257-2141 if you have any questions.

We look forward to working with you, whether you are a parent or student, as a part of Credence High School.
